Screwed

by Thom Hartmann - Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Inc.

Here's a bit of wisdom on which "left" and "right" can easily agree: If you let things go, you'll have to pay for it eventually: and the longer you don't deal with it, the more you'll have to pay. Wait long enough, and you'll pay dearly - when you could have done the right thing all along and at little cost. - Mark Crispin Miller from the forward.

Way of the Peaceful Warrior

by Dan Millman - H J Kramer & New World Library

Twenty years ago, Dan Millman wrote a book that became a classic. This book altered many people's lives, a well as the way they viewed themselves and reality. This anniversary edition still has the same impact... it still is relevant to the lives of today, and it still has the power to change lives and our viewpoint of reality.

Freedom in Chains

by James Bovard - St. Martin's Press

This is an important work, if for nothing more than its substantial documentation. But there is much more here. For anyone who has been victimized by Local, State, or the Federal Governments, this book will only serve as a chilling reminder. For others it may give a glimpse in an uncertain future.

Architects of Peace

by Michael Collopy - New World Library

This book is one of a kind! It is beautiful not only because of the wonderful pictures featured by portrait photographer Michael Collopy, but it is beautiful mostly because of the messages shared by the many "architects of peace" who are featured in its pages.

In the spirit of Howard Zinn’s "People’s History of the United States", Moore has presented the opposition’s view of current events that will become the history of our time with humor, insight, and the quirkiness we have come to expect from "Michael Moore".
